What kinds of supplies do you carry in your store?
Here at The Kilted Cake & Supply we carry a wide range of supplies for cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and candy making. We carry everything from boxes and boards to a wall of colored chocolates, from cookie cutters to thousands of candy molds. Have any questions about what we carry, give us a call at (951) 695-0665.
I can't make it in right away, can you put something on hold?
Yes. We can place items on hold for 3 days. After that they get restocked. Having someone else pick up your order? Make it easy for them by placing a phone order. Simply give us a call, tell us which items you would like, and prepay for them with a credit card. Eliminate your husband's "honey-do" list and your friend's endless text message by going straight to the source, us.
I have leftover frosting/chocolate/sprinkles/etc, can I return them?
No. Food items that leave the store may not be returned, per the Health Department. We do our best to help you judge how much product you will need so you do not have to buy unnecessary amounts. If you do have too much, or change your mind on a project, here are the recommended shelf-life's of some of the food items: Buttercream: 6 months room temperature. Chocolate: 8-10 months room temperature, 2 years in freezer (note: never store chocolate in the fridge). Fillings: 8 months unopened, once opened 2 months in the refrigerator (note: cream fillings can not be frozen). Whipped topping: 45 days in the refrigerator, 1 year in the freezer. Royal Icing Mix, Meringue Powder, Sprinkles: these items keep for a loooong time in the pantry as long as they aren't exposed to moisture. If the world ends tomorrow, the sprinkles will out live us all.
How can I sign up for a class?
You can stop by the shop and sign up in person or sign up over the phone. Payment is due at the time of registration. This ensures we know exactly how many people to accommodate for set up and supplies. Cancellations must be made 48 hrs. in advance to receive a refund. Need to see a list of classes? Check out the classes tab above or view the schedule on Facebook in our notes section.
Can you special order something for me?
If it something that we regularly carry in our store, yes. Let us know the quantity, prepay, and we will gladly order it for you. If it is something we don't normally carry, it may take some time. Some of our suppliers take longer than others. We will do our best to accommodate your wishes but keep in mind some products have to be bought in certain quantities.
I have questions about my project, can you help?
Yes! We will happily answer your questions. We understand not everyone has time to take a class, so we will do our best to walk you through your confections. If we don't have the answer, there is always our beloved Google.
