Caramel

We have two different brands of caramel here at The Kilted Cake: Peter's and Merckens Vanilla. Both are high quality caramels that will work perfectly for dipping apples and pretzels as well as making caramel filled candies.

Peter's Caramel has a wonderful salted flavor and is even used by the big leagues, Nestles and Disneyland. However, unless you are eating them within the hour you will need to coat them in a layer of chocolate to keep the caramel from slipping. We offer Peter's in 1lb and 5lb blocks.

Merckens Vanilla Caramel has a sweeter vanilla flavor and thicker consistency. This makes it perfect for caramel only apples. It will stay in place and still hold your toppings without the use of chocolate. We offer Merckens vanilla caramel in 5lb blocks.

Merckens Sugar-Free Caramel is also available along with our sugar-free chocolates. It comes in an 8oz. container.
